Fueling Tomorrow - The Hydrogen Grand Prix (H2GP)

H2GP PRO is the highest level of our Hydrogen grand prix programs, designed to bridge academic concepts with innovative engineering. Students work in teams to design, build, and operate hydrogen-powered cars while developing skills in engineering, project management, energy transition, and applied research. Teams can compete regionally, internationally, and globally. The most prestigious event is the World Finals, which occurs annually, and is between the top teams across 5 continents, competing live on national television channels, such as NBC, ABC, etc.
Goal:
Students build and customize cars that run on hydrogen, innovating and modifying to increase efficiency, speed, endurance and operability.
Why?
Universities across Europe join the H2GP PRO to:
- Enhance practical engineering education in mechanical, automotive, and energy engineering or mechatronics
- Support institutional sustainability, innovation, and hydrogen-strategy goals
- Provide an engaging interactive project-based learning experience
- Compete in races against other universities
- The program can be integrated into existing degree courses, project modules, or extracurricular initiatives.
